For agencies and freelancers
Proposal tracking for agencies and freelancers
Win more of the work you quote for: send the proposal as a link instead of an attachment, find out when the client opens it and whether they lingered on the price, and follow up while it is fresh.
FileSeen lets agencies and freelancers send proposals as links and see when a client opens them, which pages they read and how long they spent on the pricing page.
Proposals are won or lost in the follow-up
Whether it answers a formal request for proposal or a quick quote, an attached PDF goes silent once you press send.
- Send a link instead: it opens in the client's browser, with no account or app.
- Every open shows the reading time and the country.
- See who it was and the time spent on each page, such as the price.
- Follow up while it is fresh, not too early and not too late.
How agencies and freelancers use FileSeen
From proposal sent to the right follow-up
A typical week with a live proposal.
-
Step 1
Upload the proposal
Drop the PDF, deck or Word file. Office files are shown in the browser exactly as you laid them out (Free).
-
Step 2
Send one link per client
Paste the link into your own email. On Pro, make one link per person from a list so each open is named.
-
Step 3
Get the open alert
An email every time it is opened, a daily summary or Slack alerts, all free.
-
Step 4
Follow up on what they read
Tag the pricing page and FileSeen emails you a key page alert when someone spends 30 seconds or more on it.
The features that matter for proposals
The free plan has every feature below on 3 links. Pro is for unlimited links.
- Time on each page: the scope read twice, the case studies skipped.
- Key page alert: an email when someone spends 30 seconds or more on the price page.
- Who each reader was: a name on each visit instead of a country.
- Replace a file, same link: fix the price after sending.
- Your logo and a button on the page, with your own domain on Pro: "Book a call" on proposals.youragency.com.
- One list of the team's links (Team): every proposal the agency sent, $29 a month for 3 people.

When FileSeen fits, and when it does not
A good fit
- Freelancers and small agencies sending a few proposals a week.
- Proposals written in Word, Google Docs, Keynote or PowerPoint.
- Clients who should open it with no account or download.
Not the right tool
- E-signatures, acceptable quotes or payments: use a proposal tool.
- Detecting forwarding: FileSeen shows each open, not a forward.
- Files larger than 95 MB.
