What is a P7M file?
A file with a digital signature wrapped around it, in the CAdES format. Italian e-invoices often arrive this way as .xml.p7m, and signed contracts as .pdf.p7m.
What the signature check means
"Signature intact" means the content matches the signature made with the certificate in the file. The certificate is not checked against the EU trusted list or for revocation, so this is not a legal validation.

What is a P7M file?
A file with a digital signature. The original file, often an XML invoice or a PDF, is inside, together with the signature and the signer's certificate.
How do I open an .xml.p7m invoice?
Drop it on the box at the top of this page. The invoice inside is shown as a readable document, with buttons to download it as PDF or as XML.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The file is read, checked and turned into a PDF inside your browser tab. Only the Share button sends the PDF, and only when you click it.
Is the signature legally verified here?
No. The page checks that the content matches the signature and shows who signed. It does not check the certificate against the EU trusted list or for revocation.
Can I open a .p7m signed twice?
Yes. A file such as invoice.xml.p7m.p7m is unwrapped layer by layer, and each signature is shown.
Does a plain FatturaPA .xml work?
Yes. Drop the .xml and the invoice is shown the same way, without the signature part.
