FAQ
EML viewer questions
What is an EML file?
One email saved as a file: the headers, the message and any attachments, in the standard Internet Message Format. Gmail, Outlook, Thunderbird and Apple Mail can all save emails this way.
Is my email uploaded?
No. The file is read inside your browser tab and nothing is sent anywhere. Pictures stored on the web are not loaded either, so the sender cannot tell the email was opened.
Can I open the attachments?
Yes. Every attachment is listed with its size and a Download button. Attached emails are shown below the message.
Can I save an EML file as a PDF?
Yes. Press Save as PDF above the email, or use the EML to PDF converter, which also does thousands at once.
Why does my computer not open EML files?
An .eml file needs a mail app such as Outlook, Thunderbird or Apple Mail. Without one, Windows asks which app to use. This page opens it in any browser instead.
